About Monograms

What is a wedding monogram?
Technically a monogram is a graphic symbol consisting of 2 or more letters combined.
Our designs are wedding monograms or wedding logos, which are a motif or emblem created by combining a couples initials or names and wedding details as a graphic representation of their unity.

How can I use a wedding monogram?
Wedding monograms are a great way to personalise your special day. They can be used on all your wedding stationery as well as various wedding items like, bonbonnieres, napkins, cakes, water bottles, guest book, labels and anything else your imagination can think of.

Love Notes wedding monograms are available to purchase on their own as an affordable way to make DIY invites/wedding projects look a little more stylish and chic or can be added to our refined stationery ranges for us to print and complete. You can also add a wedding monogram to our other stationery, please contact us prior to ordering to confirm suitability.

To order monogrammed invitations and stationery: Choose your wedding monogram from our ranges. Enter your details and select  the black and white version of the monogram (as colour alterations of our stationery is a free service we offer) , then click the buy button (make sure quantity is set to 1). Then click continue shopping and choose your stationery items from our refined stationery ranges.

How long does it take to have a wedding monogram created?
After you place your order online, it takes up to 2 business days to receive a proof of your monogram and your final digital files are emailed 24 hours after your proof is approved.

Should I order a black & white or color?
Whether you decide to order a black and white or color monogram depends on how you will have your DIY items printed. If you plan to have your items printed by a professional printer, they would require “camera-ready” artwork, which means you would submit the artwork in black and white and the printer would apply the ink colors of your choice on the press. In that case, the black and white monogram would be the best choice. (Please confirm with your printer prior to ordering.)

If you plan to print your DIY items yourself on an ink-jet or laser printer, or if you plan to have them printed digitally, you would need the color version of the monogram. Note: If you order a color monogram, you will also receive a black and white version in case you also need to send the artwork to a professional printer. Colours must be chosen from the Monograms colour chart.

If Love Notes is printing your monogram as part of the Monogram stationery range, then order a black and white version of the monogram as colour alterations of our stationery is a free service we offer. Colours must be chosen from the Monograms colour chart.

Can I order a sample of a monogram?
Yes, you can order a printed sample of a monogram. A monogram sample will come as one printed invitation in your chosen monogram design, invitation shape and card. These will be watermarked and printed in sample wording only.
