Letterpress

Elegant, Authentic + Sophisticated

The most formal and typically most expensive options, Letterpress is made by etching type onto metal plates, which are then impressed onto paper.  The 'bruising' or indentation on the back of the paper and the raised type that results are the telltale signs that an invitation is Letterpress.

This process produces a crisp, matte type, which makes it ideal for use with white on dark paper, metallic inks and of course classic black ink on ivory paper.

Letterpress requires paper with a substantial weight, such as card stock.  This method is traditionally used with time honoured scripts but contemporary fonts are increasingly popular.
